Winter Of My Life - Poem by Hakima Smaali

gray cloud in my sky
I can see
strong winds holding me not to try
but I have to be free
it makes me cry
that rain falling on me
winter of my heart is too cold
it won't leave because of that lie
but me it shouldn't hold
these anger that chains me I should untie
because these clouds of grudge are too old
it should have been sunny by now,
I need a warm heart to hold me
a heart that can guide me back to whom i used to be
I hate living in ice, i hate the way it feels
an old wound that couldn't heal
I hate this that I feel
my heart I'm unable to control
unable to forget
unable to walk through the futur door
I'm captured in the past
can't get free
just watching life moving so fast
i'm still captured by the old pain
can't get free
I'm missing the forgiveness train
