on a bright summer's day
upon the valleys and hills
of our lives
i came across a familiar face
among the memories
of childhood glory

of first flowers
that blossomed within our hearts
of first days
of many a step
on the river bank of memory

we handpicked joyous moments
along the dusty roads of life
and as we walked
we left tears and longings
for friends and time

wish upon a star
we could go back
time and again
of those familiar places
and familiar faces.
