'With Every Ticking Clock, like Endless Desert Sands' Poem by CHERRY GADINGAN

'With Every Ticking Clock, like Endless Desert Sands'

In the stillness of these nights, like a desert's endless sand,
No sign from you appears, like a ship in distant land.
I pray for your well-being, like a sailor lost at sea,
This love's an ocean deep, its waves a mystery.

With every ticking clock, like a mountain I must climb,
Photographs unfold stories, like chapters lost in time.
In your profile's embrace, love's a forest dense and tall,
But I'm powerless, like a leaf in its sprawling sprawl.

Our song plays softly, like a whisper in the breeze,
A reminder of moments, like sunlight through the trees.
In laughter and teasing, love soared like a bird on high,
Now shadows veil your presence, like a cloud across the sky.

They may call me a fool, like a dreamer chasing stars,
But what choice do I have, like a traveler in memoirs?
I clutch to your words, like a lifeline in the dark,
I'll honor your path, like a lighthouse's guiding spark.

As long as we're intertwined, like rivers to the sea,
My heart remains steadfast, like a rock, eternally.
Till the end of days, like a tale that's yet to be,
In this dance of love, you are my jubilee.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This poem talks about feeling very lonely and missing someone deeply. It compares the loneliness to a desert with no end and waiting for a message from the person you care about is like waiting for a distant ship. The love described here is very strong, like a deep ocean with mysterious waves. Each passing moment feels like a big challenge, similar to climbing a mountain. Looking at old pictures is like reading chapters from the past. Love is compared to a dense forest that's hard to escape from. The memories of good times are like a gentle breeze, and the laughter and affection shared are compared to a bird flying high. But now, the person you love is like a shadow, distant and hidden. Others might think you're foolish for holding on to this love, but you don't have a choice, just like a traveler following their memories. The person's words are like a lifeline in the darkness, and you promise to follow their path like a guiding lighthouse. As long as you're connected, your love remains strong, like a steadfast rock, and you're willing to keep this love alive until the end, just like an unfinished story. This love is like a joyful celebration in your life.
