Within My Heart Poem by Barbara Blevins

Within My Heart

I am not prisioner of people's thought,
I listen, I learn from what I'm taught.
I am Barbara, that is me,
I'm not prisioner I am free.
I'm not tossed with every wind,
I stand strong as Jesus my friend.
I treat people how I want them to treat me,
I look for the good and that is how it should be.
I am equal to all my peers,
I have gracefully learnt this in my 41 years,
I am not prejudice against the color of skin,
I find beauty in the soul within.
I find peace in a world corrupt and lost,
I know my Savior paid the cost.
