Without You Poem by Kenzie Brown

Without You

The unearthly tone of your reassuring voice
Forces a notion of protection
Among this place.
Although, your character is false,
You brought me into existence,
Without you,
I would soon be as
Forgotten as the calm winds of yesterday.
Abandonment is not what I wanted, but
What I needed.
I deserved to recognize who I was,
Reconcile without you and your beauty.
Oh, and your dismissal?
It was unexpected but appreciated.
I am better,
Now that I am without you.
