Won’t You Just Look Up At The Moon Poem by Max D. Hornbogen

Won’t You Just Look Up At The Moon

Won’t you just look up at the moon; I bet that everything is just fine. Don’t you see that I am here; the moon is high above the sky.
There is an eye in the moon; I bet he is watching you? Oh I say what the hell is going on here.
Maybe I can touch the moon up so high, don’t you see that I am going insane. Everything is kind of a blur, can’t even think anymore.
So why not take a look at the moon up so high above the clouds. What you see was just an image of your mind, don’t you see that everything is just fine.
Every time I get tipsy, I just get a little buzzed up. Don’t you see that everything is just fine?
So when I look in the mirror, I see my reflection just staring right back at me. Don’t you see this is not right?
So why not take a look at the moon above the clouds, don’t you see there is nothing there.
Don’t you see, you have personal issues inside of you. Can you take a look at the moon and pretend that you’re not here.
So when you’re done, just take another look at the moon one more time.
