Woods Poem by Farooq Hussain

Woods

Silence was everywhere
Little I saw too far
Only the green allover
Racing of sounds aroused
Croaking everywhere as if to win
Reached somewhat far
And found the beast of all
Snake, was threatening
Asking me to leave
I, was just going on caring nothing
Without any intention
Then came the growling
Caring nothing was just marching
Marching, marching, marching
Then what! Ants now on my way
To my surprise
One of the ants bit me
May be I have broken their house
But I, caring nothing just passing by
To threaten more, comes the rain
With lightning and heavy sounds
Heard a strange voice suddenly
Wake up! Wake up!
Then I woke up
