Word Vs World. Poem by Shaila Touchton

Word Vs World.

The world entices, a siren's call
Luring hearts to chase its fleeting thrall
But Your Word, Oh Lord, stands tall and strong
A ray of light, where truth belongs.

The world promises pleasure, power, and fame
But Your Word offers wisdom, life, and Your name
The world's allure fades like autumn's leaf
But Your Word endures, forever chief

In this battle for my heart and mind
I choose to stand on Your Word, I find Strength in its truth, hope in its grace
A shield of faith to face the world's dark place

Let the world rage, let its whispers cease
For in Your Word, Oh Lord, I find my peace! .
