Words Just Noise Poem by matthew wunsch

Words Just Noise

Is reality gone?
Is the real?
Do words fade
With the voice they made?
When the reverberations dissipate
Beyond humane
Ear drums beating slowly by brains.
Where do the rebels go
When revolution fades
From the beating hearts of a picket line?
If I choose to collaborate,
Unionize with all I hate,
Does revolution fade?
When the forest grows
Shielding sunlight from beaten pavement
Where stomping feet refused
Does revolution fade?
When the ocean flows
And wipes out the streets we walk,
So easily
Does revolution fade?
More importantly…
Do rebels sleep?
When I close my eyes to dream,
I ask,
Do rebels sleep?
Does the forest dream
When it covers me?
Does the ocean laugh
When it swallows me?
Do my words fade
With the voice they made,
When the reverberations dissipate unfoundedly?
And more importantly…
If I scream loud enough
Will I live on forever
In the sound waves?
If I scream
Will I live on
In the sound?
