Words Spoken By An American Child 15 Years Old

WORDS SPOKEN BY AN AMERICAN CHILD 15 YEARS OLD
(After NY Times Article)

The hardest part of the day for me,
after I eat-- and my mother doesn't--
She pretends she's dined, smiles, goes into another room--
the pinched look on her face-- its terrible!
I sit at table looking round at bare kitchen--
don't want to eat-- but I'm so hungry!
One day I caught her licking a plate I'd eaten from!
When I grow up, I'lll be a CEO--
they have money, lots of food-- then we can both eat!
