Yesterday Poem by Mogare Nyamoko

Yesterday

A day memorable it was,
So fine with the clouds spreading like wings on the sky
And the coldness of it's spreading felt.
Ooh yesterday, where did you go?

Down on Earth,
Shades of green now turned brown
Once my eyes never stopped looking,
Once trapped between sleep and staying awake
Ooh yesterday, where did you go?

The aroma of the reaction
Between the invading water from above
And the thirst soil below
Invoking my nose into ecstasy.
The brown plants cheering on,
Soon the shades of green will be back
As the hailstons parade on the path we tread
Looking at the many colors of flowers across live fences.
Ooh yesterday, where did you go?
