Yesterday Poem by Cindy J.M.S

Yesterday

Gone are the days when I slept in silence
Gone are the days when I wept
Have there been hollow promises
Many to count
We cannot see what we cannot see
We cannot hear what we cannot hear
Times have turned and I found myself whole
The bruises are what we create
I am always with you
Never far away even when out of call
Always in my heart I hold you dear
Never fear, I am near

When falling on the ground
Shaking like a leaf on a tree, a windy day
Walking through the darkness of the street
Not realizing light was where I stood
Killing thoughts that came to mind
Tears that feel
Words coming out like a devil's play
Hearing things of silence
Never have I seen this way
Legs have been broken in the dawn
Violent surrender
