Yesterday’s Beginning

The earth was made but yesterday
As far as God’s concerned
And for a while today she’ll stay
Until the world has learned

Until the world The Truth has seen
And takes it for her own
She’ll fail to live as Jesus’ queen
And share His royal throne

Until she’s free of spot and stain
Until she seeks on high
Her children live their lives in vain
And steeped in sin they’ll die

So each through Christ has much to do?
Great works must still be done?
We each must start our lives anew
Towards the dawning Sun

We each should take a look inside
From every failure learn
Reveal to God the things we’d hide
And give His Son to burn

We must be rid of all past shame
Loose of satanic lies
Receive from God a brand new name
That breaks all worldly ties

We need to show there’s been a change
Humbly our knees must bow
Till even friends would think us strange
If they could see us now

When all these things have seen the dawn
When Christ returns from high
The world at large will be reborn
And never more will die
