You are my Chernobyl,
The abandoned place no one goes.
Only spoke of from a memory,
When the air was warm,
And the grass was green.
You are the message of a tragedy,
A cryptic note I never intend to see.
You are the epitome,
Of everything broke in me,
Every scar holding me,
Together like a seam.
You exploded me, opened me,
To something I never want to be.
Left me exposed,
For all the world to see.
I was never meant to be,
Put together normally,
Played with adoringly.
But now there is no more of me.
You are my Chernobyl,
And I am the ground,
Where no one will ever grow.
