You Are Not Endymion. I Am Not Selene Poem by Saniya Galeyeva

You Are Not Endymion. I Am Not Selene

Babe, you are not Endymion.
Hey, I am not Selene.
Don't cast into oblivion
Our memories and feeling.

When I was only fourteen,
I learnt about two lovers.
They were a god and a goddess
Who made amorous vows.

He swore he would protect her.
She said she'd save the Earth.
And when the war burst out,
They died together, both.

They loved each other strongly,
But when they were reborn,
Their feeling was sealed firmly.
It was oblivion.

Their minds were calm and clear,
No longer hint of past.
But love can't disappear.
They met again at last.

They did, and they remembered
Their past to reunite.
This way the story ended.
But it's a tale, not life.

And you are not Endymion.
And I am not Selene.
And being in oblivion
Is death for our feeling.
