You cannot be my eternal future,
For our paths are meant to diverge,
Though my heart may long for you,
It's time for me to purge.
Purge the love that once consumed me,
The fire that burnt so bright,
For it was but a fleeting flame,
That could not withstand the night.
You cannot be my eternal future,
No matter how much I wish it so,
For we were meant to walk apart,
And let our souls freely go.
Go towards different paths,
Each leading to our own fate,
For even though our hearts may ache,
It's time to embrace what awaits.
What awaits is a new beginning,
A chance to find our true selves,
To discover all that we can be,
And put the past upon the shelves.
You cannot be my eternal future,
For it's time for us to part,
To release what once bound us,
And begin a brand new start.
Start with a clean slate,
And let go of all regrets,
For we had our time together,
But now it's time to reset.
Reset our hearts and minds,
To let go of what once was,
For only then can we truly move on,
And find our own path, because...
You cannot be my eternal future,
No matter how much I may yearn,
For destiny has other plans,
And it's time for us to learn.
Learn that love can come and go,
But what truly matters is growth,
For every experience shapes us,
And helps us find our own worth.
You cannot be my eternal future,
For it's time for us to say goodbye,
But know that you will always hold,
A special place in my heart, no lie.
No lie can change the fact,
That we shared a bond so deep,
But now it's time to let it go,
And let our souls peacefully sleep.
You cannot be my eternal future,
But you'll always be a part of me,
For the memories we made together,
Will forever live in my heart, free.
Free from the constraints of time,
Free from the chains of regret,
For our love may have ended,
But it's a love I'll never forget.
You cannot be my eternal future,
But I'll forever cherish what we had,
For it taught me the beauty of love,
And the strength to let go, sad.
Sad to see it all come to an end,
But grateful for the journey we shared,
For it has made me who I am,
And showed me how much I cared.
You cannot be my eternal future,
For our paths must now divide,
But I'll always look back on us,
With love and bittersweet pride.
Pride in what we overcame,
And the love that once bloomed,
But now it's time to spread our wings,
And let our hearts be groomed.
Groomed for a new adventure,
A future that's ours to create,
For though you cannot be my forever,
You'll always hold a special place.
So, farewell my dear, farewell,
Know that you'll always be a part,
Of the beautiful chapter of my life,
That will forever warm my heart.
