You Know Who You Are Poem by Vanessa Dizon Alvarez

You Know Who You Are

I've walked through storms this past year,
with skies too heavy to name.
Faced trials that bent my spirit,
and days that blurred into pain.

But through the shadows and silence,
some lights refused to fade.
You stood beside me gently,
when others turned away.

You didn't ask for reasons,
or proof that I was strong.
You simply stayed—
and in your presence, I belonged.

You lifted me with laughter,
when I had no smile to give.
You reminded me of beauty,
and the reasons still to live.

So here's my quiet thank you,
from the deepest part of me.
For being my safe harbor,
for loving endlessly.

You know who you are—
no need for grand applause.
Just know you changed my story
with kindness, without cause.
