As the strokes of my pen lay thinner and thinner
I remember, Yesterday
when I saw her in a light Blue Shirt and a nice pair of jeans
Open hair, darker than the night I had seen
her eyes brighten by the sunlight
Skin lighter than the morning sky
Lips smoother than petals of rose
Glowing as the sunset rays fell on her nose.
Now, As I do my best to etch
the moment into this piece of paper
and smother my thoughts
I know I'm not deserving enough
and I'll never be
Because Yesterday, You looked heavenly.
