You Love The Fruits Of My Labor Poem by Sebastian Soberania

You Love The Fruits Of My Labor

i have always loved you.
you never showed you love me.
you never loved me at all. Not ever.
Not ever once.
i am like a tree and you enjoyed the shade
of my leaves.
You have taken the ride of my my branches
and loved the climb when you were once a child.
And when you have grown enough
to admire the flowers, you plucked some
and taken pleasure with the fruits later.

i have always loved you.
But you never loved me.

When all my flowers and fruits were taken by you
you demanded that i shall be cut.

The clouds wept. My trunk now covered by all
dry leaves. And then you walk away.

So happy and contented.
Thanks anyway. My suffering has ended.

I shall be a seed again. And I shall then forget you.
