You'Re Beautiful Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

You'Re Beautiful

It’s fascinating when somebody calls you “princess”
just because you seem so flawless in his eyes.
Even though your face is painted with pain
he’ll efface their trace from your blushing cheeks.

It’s fascinating when somebody calls you “perfect”
just because you are the sunshine to his grey skies.
You raise the inner storms that trouble your mind
but he remains to be the anchor that holds you down.

It’s fascinating when somebody calls you his “symphony”
just because your voice lifts his spirits to unfathomable heights.
Even though your skin is paved with traces of wound and scars
he’ll caress them just to tell you… you’re beautiful.
