You'Re Slipping Poem by chantel weston

You'Re Slipping

Oh my dear I have thought
So long and hard as to what
I really must do.

Now I know
That I must go the way
I came no moving forward
No not from here
We must go back
By I have started moving
And you’re pulling back.

My dear you’re slipping
Right from my hands!
Why wont you come up
And stand strong and proud
Like the man you used to be to me?

My dear I pulled us down
This narrow path that leads to nowhere
Let me be the one to lead us out of this place.

Oh please try don’t sit down
Oh please! I know what I have done
I know how I have hurt you!
My dear I never meant to do this to you!
Oh I see your heart now…
It is so broken, hardly beating now.

My dear please we are close,
We can still make it we can still
Be what we were meant to be
Oh try a little longer!
Your heart!
My dear! Look at your heart now!
It’s stronger! Its almost there!
Carry on with me now let me help you
You are so close don’t forget who you
Are meant to be.

I am so sorry I pulled you so far down
I am the reason it was so hard
You are the only reason I was able to
Get us out.
