You See It All

Searching around looking above
Probing most everywhere
I looked for peace I searched for love
But only found despair

Feeling depressed feeling downcast
Darkness reigned strong and true
Ashamed about my evil past
Without a thought of You

No thought that I’d be reconciled
I played the perfect fool
Living content on running wild
Beneath demonic rule

So many times I felt alone
Laughter was less than rare
My heart felt cold as granite stone
Yet no one seemed to care

You knew me Lord my thoughts were plain
You saw my soul within
You knew my life would be in vain
If I was left to sin

For me You came for me You died
You suffered so much pain
That grace and love be multiplied
And I’d be born again

You’ve shown me love, You’ve shown me grace
You’ve shown You truly care
That I one day may see Your face
And all You have to share

You’ve brought me joy removed my fears
Allowed salvation flow
Surely I’ll leave this realm of tears
And enter Heaven’s Glow
