You Wouldn'T Understand Poem by David Richmond

You Wouldn'T Understand

You wouldn’t understand,
What I have gone through.
You wouldn’t understand,
Why I cower from you.

I have stood with death,
Hoping it would win.
As I stand on the edge,
So afterlife would begin.

I have cuts and bruises,
From which I have done.
They hurt like hell,
They are not much fun.

As I stand on the lip,
Of the bridge as I cry.
Just hoping it will end,
And I will just die.

Air is thin,
When I hang from the ceiling.
Some will never know,
This scary feeling.

Bubbles start to fade,
As I lay here to die.
I can see the end,
I just want to fly.

I am desperate for help,
Although some have tried.
I wish it was you,
With me by my side.
