You...Mother Poem by Varodi Maria

You...Mother

Dear mother...
Oh dear mother, bitter mother
With tenderness in your chest
We leave the past war behind.

A red rose pierced
A child's soul
Long forgotten to fate's will
Oh, mother, can't you hear me?

Don't you hear my soul fading?
My dear mom, if only you could hear me
I am no longer the same...
Your red rose has disappeared.

And my heart has raised a shield
Like your love...
Deprived of worth
Oh dear mother...

The word mother feels empty to me
And I will become
What you couldn't be
A true mother...

With a rose...
Redder... and brighter!
Releasing the past
And living the moment.

You...Mother
