Young Love Poem by Kathlyn Grace

Young Love

The wrinkles in your hands
they fit so neatly into my creases
they make my hands feel young again
like they used to be so long ago

The lines that frame your lips
they make me smile inside
I know they are from years of laughter
I really never thought I was funny

The grays that sparkle in your hair
remind me I'm alive
they send small shivers down my spine
the years with you have been devine

Little girl
you are so old
and memories they have grown cold
I once wanted nothing more
then to hold your hand til death due us part
and to this day I am fine with only that
You make my smile mean something
and you make my eyes sparkle with hope
you are my angel and my guard
when things become just too tough
Little girl
so old yet fragile
you make my world that much brighter
Little girl
so old with such bauty
I love you
I hope you know that
