Your Eyes Poem by D A Phinney

Your Eyes

Your eyes are like the kiss of a stranger:
The knowing, the unknown
Touching each other with our fingers, slowly
Sharing the same familiar mystery
Of our senses
That are so wonderfully new and alike
That our pleasure moans through us
Like the wind
Stirring our scents
What is this that we touch
That is my feeling feeling you
Your feeling me within
Our heat sending chills
That further warm
Liquifying the passion
That no longer gives nor takes
But spirals up insistently
With a shared purpose
Shared gasps
Sweeping us up beyond our locked limbs
The wet fire of our tongues
The sharpness of nails
The awareness that rises beyond the bodies'
Clenching need
Who's satiation
Whets a new appetite
Releasing us to a singular
Unbounded sensation
Where we overreach time and space
Creating a new and private corner
In eternity
