Your Fabric In Night
Unraveled, these silk gems
come along in darkness
like daylight.
Try to catch, & hold onto
these string-less kites
that float and drift
within illuminated lands.
Enjoy each lifting raft
that arrives sailing
inside your churned slumber.
The ones that come early
in the night dance
like shadow puppets
on the walls
behind your eyelids.
They are ageless threads
woven from dim starlight;
light-years beyond—
they have turned to blood.
They are pulsed feelings
electrified into imagery, heed
& listen to your stardust-songs.
They are bubbles
slowly rising to the surface
from deep water
where forgotten anchors
have fallen into silt.
