Your Love, The Unseen Pillar Of My Way...My Dear Students.. Poem by P A Noushad ...

Your Love, The Unseen Pillar Of My Way...My Dear Students..

Within Cambridge's ancient, hallowed air,
I walked where thought becomes a living flame...
And memory wears the robe of silent prayer.....
Etched softly in the parchment of my name...
There knowledge rose like dawn on endless seas,
Not mere content, but living, sacred fire,
That lifts the soul beyond all certainties,
And draws the mind to truths that climb yet higher..
The world of shadows gently fell behind,
Blind faith dissolved like mist at morning light,
Superstition loosened its binding mind,
As reason kindled stars within the night...
And in that hush where centuries still breathe,
I learned what human seeking means at core,
A beauty time cannot unmake or leave,
But deepens evermore, and more, and more...
Yet greater still than halls of thought so vast,
Than books that whisper wisdom through the years..
Is teaching, woven from the human vast,
From distant lands and hopes and wandering spheres.....
From every shore they came with open mind,
My students, bright as constellations spread,
Each voice a thread in one great humankind,
Each bond a light where understanding led....
Their trust became the quiet breath I wore,
Their love, the unseen pillar of my way,
A gift no crown or triumph could restore,
Yet richer than the words I might convey..
And so it was their grace that opened wide
That sacred gate where Cambridge softly stands,
A moment time cannot cast aside,
But holds like starlight resting in my hands.
Forever now it lives, serene, untamed,
Not past, but presence, gently yet unnamed........
