Your Presence Matters Poem by Rahul Sudan

Your Presence Matters

Perhaps I was nothing to you,
But to me you were everything,
The way you behaved,
Made me feel loved and cared for,
Yes, things have gone really wrong,
And we are on our own paths now,
Where you seem to be doing fine,
But I am not fine at all,
Because your absence shakes me,
Just because your presence is needed,
I accept that it was my fault,
But you do not give it a second thought,
You remain angry in every way,
It really hurts and I can not even tell you,
Something is missing in my life,
From the day you left me with hate,
And you forgot about all the time,
That we two spent together,
What I am going to do alone now,
Because the void you left in my life,
It will never be filled again,
Of the fact that your presence matters.
