Your Whole Life. Poem by S.M. Riggin

Your Whole Life.

have you ever had your whole life
ripped apart strand, by strand?
felt the burning ach?
the loss of one?

have you ever had your heart
broken behond all healing?
felt it would never be the same?
never again?

have you ever had to endure fighting
constandly always walking out?
not wanting to come beck ever?

have you ever had someone
say 'I love you' that
burning passion than
in a blink of an eye
it's over?

have you ever had to sit
there watching it all fall
apart wanting everything to be
normal but it's not.?

have you ever had to cry
yourself to sleep?
feeling no comfort from anyone?
and missing him terribly?
wanting him?

have you ever had to hear
a love one's pain?
wishing you could be there
comforting, helping healing, fixing?
and not be allowed to?

have you ever had to watch
a life style, a living, go
down the drain never knowing why?
wanting it to be so normal?

have you ever had to hear
about fights all the time? ?
them acting so so childish
needing them to smartin' up?
have you ever had tradegy
strike you home? painful
subjects, wet checks, memories
fight stops for a minute?

have you ever had to be
somewhere and can't be there?
wanting so badly hurting so
horribly? wanting to be there?
have you ever had someone
always there and in a blink of and eye
than you are by your self alone
their gone?

have you ever...
