You've Been Through Storms Poem by Vanessa Dizon Alvarez

You've Been Through Storms

You've walked through fire, faced the rain,
Endured the weight of silent pain.
You've bent, not broken, through the years,
And carried strength behind your tears.

They see a glimpse, a fleeting part,
But never know your lion heart.
They judge the mask, the calm you wear,
Not knowing all the storms you bear.

You've risen up from shattered ground,
With grace so fierce it makes no sound.
You've proved enough, you've earned your name—
A soul reborn through trial and flame.

So when they speak with shallow view,
Just smile and walk—don't answer true.
You owe no proof, no grand display,
You've conquered more than words could say.
