Two separate souls,
Borne of wings;
Locked behind the bars of fate
Amidst the midnight sky
Two songbirds, lost but not afraid
Larks that sought warmth and solace;
And within a moment's spur,
They fell in love.
With hearts of missing pieces,
They complete each other
Not even the raging seas
Can drown their song
As time flew like a leaf carried by the wind,
They are still locked up from the world
Their wings obscure of purpose,
Seeking redemption to the skies.
Under the amber moonlight,
The male lark reaches out
Beyond the bars enthralling them;
And so the dusky skies broke down.
Time streamed like the gushing rivers
As autumn takes its pace
The swaying of the fallen leaves
Determines the end of a relationship
Love against liberation;
Once, the songbirds of bliss,
Now, the larks of despair
One to stay, one to escape
She chose to stay within—
Within the bondage of their memories;
She clings to their past,
Where she'd always resort to
He chose to break through
And sought for something new
To live is to break free from the shell
And perceive the world for what it is
Fate is not a blessing
It is a sugarcoated curse,
A sweet punishment for all
who are naïve and incompetent
But to live is to choose
And to choose is to sacrifice
Whether you lay your life for someone
Or save yourself from everyone.
And so the cage tore apart.
Are they led astray?
One who is content,
And one who is free
A songbird with an alluring voice
And a lark with liberated wings;
Two separate souls,
Now strangers with memories.
