Just before Christmas gentle snow falls from the wintery sky,
The first covering, all aglow, beautiful to every eye.
Each snowflake a pattern unique, amazing by design,
Silently descending, miraculous, sublime.

Little donkey on her way
With a steady pace,
Bearing Mary, great with Child,
Full of love and grace.

When ole St. Nick has made his rounds on a busy Christmas Eve,
He hurries home to find his wife has packed their bags to leave.
Where, you ask, will St. Nick go? We've ne're heard this before.
They catch a flight heading south to Scotland's bonnie shore.

What shall I do this Christmastime
To make the season bright,
To honor Christ the Savior
Born this holy night?

Trees

Long before trees joined Christmas rites, Before their limbs held man-made lights, they, with all nature in adoration praise, honored the Christ those first Christmas days. God reached down, His trees to adorn, all for His Son the night He was born. Some trees glistened on snow-clad heights. Others beamed with firefly lights. Birds on the branches started to sing to glorify God, to honor the King. It once dawned on man to embellish a tree, but God did it first for creation to see.
