Christmas comes round every year,
Lord Jesus came once only;
He promised to return 'Don't fear'
But time goes Oh so slowly.

They grow not old as we grow old,
my memories of you;
they linger still, they always will,
alive and ever true.

Christmas

Christmas comes round every year,
Lord Jesus came once only;
He promised to return 'Don't fear'
But time goes Oh so slowly.

Two thousand years have passed, well nigh,
Since those shepherds gazed at infinity;
To Him, it's just a blink in time,
To we poor mortals, eternity.

Oh, was that lovely story true,
Of angels and a star?
Dear Christ, if you exist - do you?
Come back e're we go too far.

Till we destroy this planet Earth
And all that lives and breathes;
Till there is no more Springtime mirth,
A dearth of Autumn leaves.
