Sara is a 43-year-old self-described ’work at home mom’ of two, who writes poetry, fictional novels and articles in the categories of life and reflections. Her most recent successes are attributed to her uniquely insightful commentaries on World Crisis Issues, Cancer and Autism Awareness and Human Interest stories.
Sara is also honored to have won a Pulitzer Award, in March 2008 for an article written on the question 'Who Should Take A Stand Against Child Labour Being Used In Congo To Mine Coltan? ' Her piece won the award for outstanding citizen journalism because she offered a well researched article that brought a wealth of insight and information to the situation in the DRC. Sara’s article joins together her personal reflections and her research, underscoring her point that the answer to the question lies in knowledge: 'accountability, responsible trading practices and as consumers, we need to hold the manufacturers to a standard.'
Although Sara is a poet at heart, she spends the majority of her writing time focusing on topics that will aid in making this world a better place. Under reported issues will continue to be her priority.

High heel shoes, fancy dress,
Golden earrings look the best,
Diamond rings, each finger one,
To prove success, all is done,
...
I have a question I wish you would answer,
To give me a little piece of mind,
Tell me your game so I'll know who to blame,
And I won't be so terribly blind
...
I sit and ponder about this life,
The way it twists and turns
How can I, but one small speck
Leave my mark in this fickle world?
...
Remember me? your alter ego
My face that haunts your tortured dreams
Reaching out to hold you back,
I'm your yesterday
...
Can you see my face hovering in your dreams and
think of how it could have been?
Have you ever been rushed by my memory and
wish things had been different?
