Down the twisted staircase to the dragons lair
I can't breath or speak, my eyes widened in terror.
Please speak up, say something for me. Save me, save me.
How can this be?

Morning has come and my eyes slightly open to see the ray of sunshine on her precious face
Golden curls abundantly swirling on the pillow
Cheeks rosy red and lips as pretty as a budding flower
Bright blue eyes as crisp as the ocean staring back at me.

I'm Invisible

Down the twisted staircase to the dragons lair
I can't breath or speak, my eyes widened in terror.
Please speak up, say something for me. Save me, save me.
How can this be?
Every face I thought I knew turns their head from thy heart.
Every voice that I hear is of fear and blame.
I am not your escape from reality.
I am not your reasoning for behaving badly.
I was a protective mom who stood up proudly.
You'd rather stick your heads in the sand than stand up against that hideous man.
The voice screaming was never heard and silenced like a mouse with the snap of the neck.
Now who will be their savior?
Who will they protect, but each other.
