Shanti Lakshmi Dadhirao Poems

When we were toddlers,
Haven't we played in mud and wood?
Covid19 has ruined our kids play mood,
Because wearing masks and sanitizing is must and should.
...

Too skinny, Too fat.
Too short, Too tall.
Too dark, Too fair.
Too that, Too This.
...

Newly wed and our first flight,
With much delight,
A bit nervous in spite,
reached destination on time right.
...

A lovely form of art
It's a beautiful craft
Made from inside
Which people often try to hide
...

Wish I were a child again
When tying lace was biggest issue.
Waiting for daddy's inland letter I grew.
With few friends who were true.

New Lifestyle

When we were toddlers,
Haven't we played in mud and wood?
Covid19 has ruined our kids play mood,
Because wearing masks and sanitizing is must and should.

Running around in parks,
Clothes with dirt marks.
At sea those sand walks,
Aren't they missing too much folks?

Adorable lil one's cheeks,
Pulled by any peeps.
Faster and faster parent heart beats,
Sanitize those cheeks - mind speaks.

first day of school,
Should have been so cool.
Do not step out for pre-school,
Educate online is the new rule.

This is new the lifestyle,
Maintain distance of mile.
masks hide smile,
I wish this is just for a while.
