But the words behind them, you'll never hear

My inner self is a monster at most.
A powerful monster, a wretched monster.
I am unaware of my own capabilities-
but I am fully aware that I cause nothing but pain.

Except the few you did not like.
You hid those in the cushions
Of the family couch nearby.

The tear.
One single tear.
Fluttering there..
Like one single wound.

Here we go with another sob story
The one about the beast within beauty
They're all the same just no happy ending
Life isn't perfect so just stop pretending

I wasn't a happy person,
But I smiled for you.
Your kind eyes showed me that I wasn't alone
That other people know pain.

I live and fight and scream and cry
Because words do me no good.
I cared and loved and shared my trust
Just like I knew I should.

It's time.
I've waited too long for this and now...
It seems necessary.
Normally I am not one to inflict pain

Unhappy people, depressed people, suicidal people.
They outgrew that. I grew into it.
They know I'm on the edge.
