Upendra Singh ‘Suman' (Upenddra Singgh) is a contemporary Hindi poet, lyricist, and writer from India, known for his powerful expression of national consciousness, human values, and deep emotional sensitivity.
He was born on 03 June 1972 in Gopalpur, Sardaha, Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, India. His father was Late Adityanand Singh and his mother Late Subhavati Singh. He is currently based in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Upendra Singh ‘Suman' completed his Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com) from the University of Calcutta. He began his professional career with the Indian Express Group, working for the Hindi daily Jansatta (Kolkata Edition) .
His inclination toward literature started in early childhood, and he wrote his first poem at the age of nine. Besides poetry, he also writes songs, articles, and short stories. His poems and articles have been published in various literary magazines and journals.
His poetic works have been broadcast on Doordarshan Delhi, Doordarshan Uttar Pradesh, Doordarshan Rajasthan, and several All India Radio (Akashvani) centers. He has also actively participated in poetry recitations on various literary platforms across India.
His poetry reflects a strong blend of patriotism, cultural ethos, emotional depth, and social awareness, making his voice distinct and impactful in modern Hindi literature.
