AUTHORS BIOGRAPHY
Author/illustrator Vince Cleghorne was born and raised in Liverpool to a mixed heritage mother and father (Irish/ Caribbean) . He has been a film director, dance teacher, BBC playwright and a screenwriter. He has an unshakable ‘Go for it' attitude and once landed in LA with no cash, an animated feature screenplay, and all of his fingers crossed. His claims to fame include writing/directing a French horror feature starring Morjana Alaoui, buying Gandalf a whiskey, and attending the same school as a Beatle. He has written award winning screenplays, ghost-written Crissy Rock's novel for John Blake Publishing, written a ballet for KS Dance, and author/illustrated a string of bestselling children's books earning him praise from DreamWorks SKG, HRH the Prince of Wales, and Walk the Line producer James Keach. Vince recently left the Everton Free School/Sports Academy for Excluded Children where he was head of art for 10 years. At present he lives in Liverpool's Georgian Quarter, with two very spoilt cats and a wealth of possibilities.
