The cruel Imperialist! Why did you forget,
Time does not remain always the same!
While sucking blood of weaker people,
And that too, in His great name!
The slave is dead, you are also dead,
But what you did without any shame,
Still alive in the pages of history,
It's soul of the slave, do not blame.
How strong is now that slave of the past,
I don't see now your great empire,
How weak is it, soul of a great emperor,
And that of a slave has become a vampire!
A poem that fits on all the empires, great and thoughtful.
slave died... but slavery didn't... and perhaps it can never...
What a deep thoughtful write. You have hit the nail on the head. Imperialistic ruler must face karma. Power-drunk ruler forgets that death comes to all, slave or emperor. History doesn't forgive the tyrant. A huge 10.

A great truth told in powerful verse! When I read your poem, I was reminded of Shelley's Ozymandias mocking at the hegemony and vanity of a king......! In time, a tyrant king may remain a despicable memory in the pages of History! Great write!
