Away from the fever and fret of life,
In absolute stillness, in abject surrender,
Looking into the core of his being,
In deep silence and solitude,
In an ardent gesture of adoration,
He was in dialogic communion with the Supreme.
In that divine setting, he heard the spirit whisper.
Then the window of his soul opened to light,
And the hidden well springs revealed to him.
In his nothingness, he found his all.
Never was a moment more perfect!
Under the ‘Bodhi' tree, that moment stood alone!
Very heavenly and inspiring for a soul to be enlightened........Valsa.....great composition that brings serenity to mind......10
You have caught the entirety of the Buddha in a few beautiful lines, Valsa-ji. Kudos! Have been off-line for a few days. Yet to catch up with the developments here.
Then the window of my soul opened to light, ... Under the ‘Bodhi' tree, that moment stood alone! The moment of revelation and enlightenment beautifully rendered. Thank you.
Brilliant write, finding the light of God in our souls brings a deep peace and hope for understanding that is wisdom!
Each line of the poem appears to me as a stepping stone to enlightenment or Buddhatva. You have explained the transformation rather beautifully and aptly through these words in your poem: In my nothingness, I found my all… / Never was a moment more perfect! /Under the ‘Bodhi' tree, that moment stood alone! (I visited Bodh Gaya and Maha Bodhi Temple in 2010, bowed my head and paid my obeisance before the Bodhi tree. I feel as if my visit has ended today.)
You captured the *experience* of the Buddha well. Well done. This also reminded me of a Tibetan meditation practice in which you access Yourself through the three pathways of body, speech and mind by stilling them in the emptiness, silence and spaciousness in which they exist. (10)
It is the communion with the supreme that can reveal to us His true nature. I believe, each man guided by his own experiences and wisdom has to find his God for himself. A soothing poem penned beautifully.
To realize the significance of human life itself is knowing the Absolute and that is the most precious moment of anybody's life due to enlightenment. Here, in this great poem that aspect is being dealt with. Many thanks

Valsa is becoming a Sufi Saint. Yes, Sufis say we have come from God and we shall go back to God, Nothingness means fusion of one's identity again in the divine and eternal soul. Ghalib the famous Urdu poet says - Na tha kutch to Khuda tha, kutch na hota to Khuda hota - Duboya mujhko hone ne, na hota main to keya hota! When there was nothing, there was God - I have been sunk (destroyed) by my existence, otherwise what (a beauty) I would be! (He means he would be God.)
