Why do I think?
Can’t I keep my brain free of thinking?
Could I keep it blank!
My thinking is the worst sinner in me,
I think of a sin,
Go on thinking,
Then comes a day,
I commit that sin.
I am helpless,
I’m a programmed sinner.
Again I think,
Can’t I keep my brain free of thinking?
Could I keep it blank!
My thinking is designed to regret the sin,
I regret my sin,
Go on regretting,
Then comes a day,
I forget my regret,
I’m a programmed sinner.
I think once again,
Can’t I keep my brain free of thinking?
Could I keep it blank!
My thinking is designed to confess the sins,
I confess my sins,
Go on confessing,
Then comes a day,
I have no sins and I lie,
I’m a programmed sinner.
Human being is a created with enormous amount of thinking ability. Now, to do anything bad is always easier than to do something good. Thus we all are prone to commit bad or sin being guided by our evil staying in us. But we control it with our logical definitions Hence the more lack of knowledge or wisdom the more we commit sins or bad things. Since, mostly, we lack knowledge mostly we are ' programmed sinners' in that way.... Thanks for sharing this lovely write.
This is the plight of every mortal human! As long as our brain functions, there will be thoughts! Thoughts often lead to sinful contemplations and in turn turn to sinful actions! Often we regret over what we do and even admit and confess our sins! But the same is repeated in vicious cycles! Can't help.... We are all programmed sinners Akhtarji! Enjoyed the novelty of your theme and its treatment!
certain actions are considered as sins, but sins (karma) in one community are the sins in others. For example having multiple partners, killing of animals for food and many more.. Legal system, on the other hand, talks about the activities that are considered as crimes, and the criminals have to be punished, though in theology, we have the option of getting forgiven gender wise or someone has paid for our sins, so Akhtal Jawad, Human is too complex creature..Thank you for sharing the reality of human's wicked mind..

I would like to translate this poem
Sin is everyone's problem. Even I, who is a Christian lay minister, deal with that on a daily basis. But there is only one solution to the sin problem that God Himself provided. You can read my 7-part poem entitled A Salvation Story to find that out. God bless you. ^_^
