Land Of Open Fire Poem by Elena Plotkin

Land Of Open Fire

Rating: 4.5

America, the land of open fire,
where active shooters aspire,
and while lawmakers and gun makers share the same bed,
how many people have died or bled.

'and while lawmakers and gun makers share the same bed, how many people have died or bled' - these two lines are very relevant under the present circumstances.

This poem should regularly roll off the tongue of people who want an end to the bloodshed. It feels like a famous quotation already.
