Life's Second Chance Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Life's Second Chance

Respecting moments of life as they are presented each
and every day, loving to experience the wonder and awe
that fills every discovery and adventure.

Holding true to the faith of my religion, giving of self
to God in every way, knowing that this life of mine is
precious to Him.

That's why He gave me a second chance to live it fully,
writing poetry, giving honor to Him who has created this
innate talent held preciously within.

THIS INNATE TALENT HELD PRECIOUSLY WITHIN - That's the mother-lode, the real gold from the interior, And saying THANK YOU in as many ways as possible is the least we an do since we are the recipients of such largesse. The poet Conrad Aiken called this plenitude a sunflower splendor. This is what he wrote: Each morning we devour the unknown. Each day we find, and take, and spill, or spend, or lose, a sunflower splendor of which none knows the source. from A LETTER FROM LI PO I think you have found that mysterious source and it's in your daily poetry.
