Man! O Man! Do not always nurture and protect me.
I am not just a rose delicate to be pruned and cared for.
In my bosom grow the wild flowers of sparkling beauty.
Each one wanting and needing its own habitat.
Do not over look their desire and strength
To face the fierce wind and rain for freedom
To smile and dance under breezy sunshine.
A clear message for the freedom of those normally overlooked around us is presented in this beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing Savita.
What a wonderful message the flower/speaker delivers! The last line reveals her goal: to dance in the sunlight with complete freedom. And the man's fussing interferes with that freedom. But unexpressed is another message implied: I can do this on my own, I'm not only free, I'm independent. Your flower image neatly conveys this message of independence in human lives. The flower addressing the gardener can also be a growing child addressing a parent.
Strength is beauty, in its own way. May all of us be blessed with fertile habitats for the diverse flowers that live within us !
A lovely message from a confident woman, yes a woman is self sufficient...................10
