No Sharp Edges Poem by Manonton Dalan

No Sharp Edges

Rating: 5.0

deep red petals
lips touching
blending; transcending
to veins; rushing fuchsia stream
to smile and pink cheeks

for a moment comfort
draping your soul
with warmest
kissing eyelids
heaving chest

i should have been there
to hold you
as you drift away
from longing

as you open your eyes
next to mine
press body as one

muted rustling fabrics
slowly burns
to passage of time
but i let those buds bloom
sending scents to
only entrusted ones, known
