Opening Our Minds To Dreams Poem by RoseAnn V. Shawiak

Opening Our Minds To Dreams

Nighttime bursting open after day is done, lighting the skies
with twinkling stars and a pale moonlight, opening up our
minds to sleep and dreams throughout the night.

And to this mere poet, how it takes my mind and intellect
into depths of life, exploring and discovering so many things
in the quiet silence of it's darkness each night that I'm
alive to see it's vibrant beauty.

Your poem records the opening of your mind to the mystery and wonders of night - it is the other side of of consc-iousness that you admit into your existence just as life and death are the two sides of Life Itself. This poem is marked by a confidence you have in these turnings of consciousness and life. You are tackling a really massive subject in a realm of invisible realities. But you maintain you sense of humility.
