Sense Of Myself. Poem by Fay Slimm

Sense Of Myself.

Rating: 5.0

Mindfully conscious of who imposes
Such tight control, and why, I reveal
The potential real me, sensibly go
Underground for a while and conceal
Any awareness of take-over motive
Designed to batten me down. I just smile
And sensing my own informed aura, know
How to bide time before a beguiling
Question I raise, as to who is wiser,
The fool who allows control, or the clown
Who faces possession and disguises
Mirth at the notion of being brought down.
Discerning the awesome power in me
As an amazing person with choice, life
Becomes meaningful, with reason to see
That sensing freedom brings enlightenment.
