Wailing Of A Soul Poem by Valsa George

Wailing Of A Soul

Rating: 5.0

At times I see my life going out of gear
Tempestuous passions take away my cheer
I know there is none to blame but only me
Hence I ask forgiveness as I bend my knee

When resentments clutter up, darkening my mind
My Lord, do not despise but be merciful and kind
Through clouds of doubt and weeds of fear
Let your voice be heard calm and clear!

As the light house navigates the sailors of the sea
Be a beacon in the thickening gloom, guiding me
When breakers rise high to turn and toss my ship
Be my captain to steer it without a slip!

When dear ones from our lives suddenly depart
Send your peace and heal our grieving heart
Teach us to accept Death as a leveler with icy hands
As the desert winds across the heaving sands

When I see my world a prison with discord round
And no one who seems to care is found
When friends desert and never want me again
Be my friend to spare me of my gnawing pain!

Father, lead my life through the raging storm
And restore into my life your serene calm
You who know me from beginning to end
Through trials of life, your care and mercy send!

With no evidence to indicate one that can change circumstances in a miraculous manner, I do not pray for change, but actively work towards it with rational actions.

A prayer to the Almighty from bottom of heart made by a soul tormented by surroundings and situation prevailing there. As a poem it is very beautiful with rhyme and a steady flow of emotions. Thanks for sharing. Ten++ points.

Such a beautiful prayer/ poem. A grieving heart seeks peace and it is found no where but in a heart true to itself seeking mercy of almighty. Thank you Valsa for sharing such lovely poem.m

This is a very beautiful poem. We all have our moments of light and darkness and this poem is so nicely written that it will help many wailing souls to see a bit of light and get some hope, which will in turn get them back in the bright sun in an accelerated way. Losing a loved one can cause so much hurt in our life. Sometimes we just need time to help us turn the bitterness of missing a bit more towards gratefulness of having had. I think life is difficult but at the same time full of beauty. I think you will enjoy one of my latest: Y// Scary Perfect World
